About the Author
Chris Prieto owns Prime Barbecue located in Wendell, North Carolina. He is a champion pitmaster whose foray into the cooking and the barbecue world started as a child growing up in Houston. His desire to discover the “soul” of what he called real barbecue led Prieto to embark on a personal quest to perfect the act of making slow smoked meat. After several years on the professional barbecue scene as a cook, Prieto has finally being able to accomplish what he refers to as barbecue excellence. This is his maiden book.
